Rx
Address: 4443 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (Map)
Located in the heart of University City, Rx is a pleasantly anomalous contribution to its tree-lined, residential neighborhood. Rx has received much critical acclaim from local and regional reviews since opening in 2001, and while it would be easy to attribute this continued success to bandwagon celebrity, such presumptions are a grave disservice to the creativity and effortless skill of Chefs Neal Mayton and Bertin Lopez and proprietor Greg Salisbury. One need only sample the ever-changing menu of seasonal, locally-grown fare in the hospitable former pharmacy to understand why this restaurant is the darling of University City.
