Moshulu Restaurant Restaurant
Restaurant Review
While it has been over a century since the Moshulu first hit the high seas, guests can board her docks right off of Philadelphia’s pier. While the still-floating tall ship might not cast off down the Delaware River, Chef Ralph Fernandez promises an adventure of anther sorts: the culinary kind. Inspired by the South Seas, Fernandez’s menu offers an eclectic mix of Southwestern, American, and French techniques and ingredients; dishes range from Stroganoff with Zinfandel-braised short ribs to Thai Filet Mignon & Shrimp. Whether sitting on one of the many outdoor decks enjoying views of the city, or tucked inside the elegantly appointed dining rooms, guests are sure find one stunningly unique dining experience.

Title: | An Experience to Remember! |
The Moshulu lives up to it's reputation as being a landmark restaurant in Philadelphia. The ambiance alone sets it apart from any other restaurant in the city. My night began boarding this beautifully tall ship which leaves you in awe even before your dining experience.
Upon entering, my family and I were immediately greeted by their warm staff and were seated in an impressive dining room. My father was particularly interested in the history of the ship and the General Manager was kind enough to not only give us the ship's background but also gave us the grand tour. It is incredible to look out on the deck and to see the shoreline in the near distance. I also thought it was great that you can dine or hold special occasions on the deck, which would truly be a unique experience and one that I will consider for my upcoming wedding.
Our server was the perfect blend of knowledgeable, funny and responsive. The wine list was well thought out and the food amazing. Each bite from appetizer to dessert was indulgent and I can't decide what I liked best, the tender filet or the mouth-watering chocolate lava cake. Regardless, everyone had a great time and it was an evening such as this that won over the entire family and we look forward to many more dining experiences at The Moshulu.
