Casablanca
Restaurant Review
Casablanca offers a truly authentic dining experience fit for kings. The setting is sensual and relaxing, with soft lighting, vibrant textiles, and plush booths. Belly dancers and live music transport guests away from the present, evoking traditions and rich pleasures from the other side of the continent. The set menus, either regular or vegetarian, offer an ideal way to sample traditional Moroccan fare: seven courses beginning with soup, concluding with mint tea, and in between offering an abundance of flavorful, aromatic, and traditional Moroccan dishes. To cap off the delightfully traditional dining experience, be sure to order one of the Moroccan wines offered.

Title: | awful experience |
we were there for a Saturday night. It's supposed to be happening in the basement. They charged us $10 cover charge just to get in. They are supposed to have a band in the basement. We were the only ones (2) present. The place was empty. The band wasn't playing. They brought a small plate of peanuts and a bottle of water. I ordered a beer. After 45 mn there, nobody showed up, and we decided to leave. The waitress brought the check (they wanted to charge $10 for the peanuts that I didn't order), and they automatically added 20% service charge. Strange place. Not recommended. When leaving, I asked for my $10 cover charge back (the cover charge is for the band, and I didn't see no band playing). The son of the owner mentioned that people come in around 2am. I though all philadelphia clubs are required to close by 2am. Apparently this rule doesn't apply to casablanca. The waitresses were smoking in the basement. I tought Philadelphia is smoke free. All this makes Casablanca an awful place, and bad experience for me. I strongly recommend avoiding the place.
