Title: Great value BYO -
Review:
I took my boyfriend here for a night out in celebration of his birthday and graduation, and we were not disappointed. What the ambiance is lacking (it's very small, loud, and didn't feel like a restaurant of it's caliber), it makes up for with amazing prices for the food. We had the baked brie appetizer, and he had the swordfish, while I had the pistachio-crusted salmon. All three of the dishes were well-prepared and delivered in a timely manner, although if you're looking for "savory" instead of sweet, I'd try another restaurant. Reservations appear to matter only for the larger parties, as our 2-person reservation was forgotten, however we didn't have to wait long. Keep in mind the restaurant is a BYO, and don't worry about getting a taxi after dinner, as it's a short 2-minute walk to a busy street.

Title: figs for fun -
Review:
Just a delightful place to share good food with good company, the outdoor seating is tastefully arranged for couples. The surrounding neighborhood is a treat as well as the location being so close to the museum.

Title: Exotic flavors in our own backyard -
Review:
Figs is a cute little restaurant tucked into a residential neighborhood (Art Museum/Fairmount). The servers are friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly so. The food is great, offering a different, somewhat exotic palate of flavors and fragrances: brie baked with honey and lavender; triangles of spinach with garlic and tangy yogurt; duck with fig, pepper, and cinnamon. The restaurant is a BYOB and accepts cash only, so bring don't forget your wine or your wallet! Will definitely return for more.
