Review:
Despite generally very good food and service in a nice ambience, this place was disappointing on a recent Saturday night visit. The 8:30 seating did not commence until close to 9 PM (what kind of time management is going on here?) and the hostess/maitre d' was cavalier and unresponsive to the health needs (very bad back)of one of our party. She did not bother either to provide a chair or attempt early seating despite being notified of the discomfort being experienced in the standing position by the unexpected seating delay, which was clearly Gilmore's/the restaurants fault. Very second rate greeter/hostess for a place with first tier pretensions. Given the numerous excellent places in the city of Phila and environs, it is unlikely we will return to Gilmores again.
